Roxy Bar was a musical program conducted by Red Ronnie that was broadcasted in Italy from 1992 to 2001. The first episode is broadcast on Videomusic on December 12, 1992. The last episode, number 250, is broadcast on TMC2 on April 17. 2001. The show is successful and wins three Telegatti within three years (1994, 1995, 1996), overcoming the competition of broadcasts such as the Sanremo Festival and the Festivalbar, interrupting so the hegemony of the Rai-Mediaset duopoly in the Television Award . Roxy Bar was the first program in Italy to actively insert the Internet and chat within it, interacting with the IRC and with the young or old who wanted to participate in the program. In the making of the live shows, a precise schedule was not followed: the events – which often was continuing well beyond live TV – could be improvised and changed at any time, and everyone could have expressed opinions or comments, from the audience, to the artists and even to the cameramen.
