With this workshop we will go behind the scenes of the oldest historical carnival in Italy in which history and legend intertwine to create a great popular festival with a strong symbolic value. We will document the famous battles of the oranges from privileged and strategic observation points to seize the challenge, the courage, the competition. We will produce a real reportage following all the fundamental phases of this historic event with lots of night sessions at the orange throwing teams and focus on the characters, processions and protagonists of the event. While we will wear the famous frieze cap, a symbol of joining the revolt, our cameras will be protected and equipped to face the battles. In short, not only an attractive series of photographic challenges, but also an opportunity to get to know an ancient and fascinating Italian tradition up close. As always, during the trip sessions of critical and constructive evaluation of the images will be carried out, to examine the difficulties encountered, the problems that arose during the work and compare the results, discussing, commenting and optimizing the images.
